Stymie ("the App") is operated by Stymie Technologies LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy.
Stymie does not process, facilitate, or intermediate any financial transactions. The App does not hold, transfer, move, or guarantee any funds. All payments between users occur entirely independently of the App, directly between individuals using third-party payment services such as Venmo or Cash App.
Stymie is a score-tracking and ledger application for recreational golf. The App records informal wagering arrangements between consenting adult players for personal use only.
When you tap a payment button in the App, Stymie opens the Venmo or Cash App application on your device using a standard deep link. No financial data is transmitted to Stymie. The transaction occurs entirely within the third-party application and is subject to that application's terms and privacy policy.
Payment handles you provide are stored on our servers solely for the purpose of pre-filling payment links for other players in your group. They are never shared with anyone outside your group and are never used for any purpose other than generating these convenience links.
Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, Inc., a third-party database and backend provider. Data is stored in the United States. Supabase maintains industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.
We implement row-level security policies to ensure that users can only access data belonging to their own groups. Your scores, ledger entries, and profile information are not visible to users outside your golf groups.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

This data is retained because it forms part of other players' financial records and round history. Deleting it would corrupt the historical record for other members of your groups. This retained data is not used to identify or contact you after account deletion.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@stymiecrew.golf.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing. Our lawful basis for processing is legitimate interest — providing the score-tracking and ledger service you have signed up to use. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@stymiecrew.golf. We will respond within 30 days.
Stymie is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@stymiecrew.golf and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy at stymiecrew.golf/privacy and updating the date above. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
